Christopher B. Goodman is an Assistant Professor at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, based in the School of Public Administration (in the College of Public Affairs and Community Service). He teaches a variety of courses pertaining to urban studies, public finance, and econometrics.
Goodman’s research interests include local public finance, federalism, political economy, and urban economics. Specifically, he is engaged in two main lines of research. The first examines the determinants and outcomes of the institutional arrangement of local governments. The second is an analysis of sprawl and its continued influence on the fiscal affairs of local governments.
Goodman received a B.S. in political science from Kennesaw State University (2006), a Master of Public Administration with a specialization in public policy analysis from the University of Georgia (2008), and a PhD in public administration and policy from the University of Georgia (2012).
